Effect of climate change factors on catfish stocks in the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman, Iranian waters

Abstract:
Background and Objectives: ?????? Methods: ?????? Findings: ?????? Conclusion: ????? One way to predict how marine ecosystems will react to climate change is to use the time series data. Considering the various economic and ecological values of marine species, and that the demographic dynamics of these species depend on two factors of climate variability and human activities, it was decided to investigate the time series of the data and conduct the present study on catfish storage considering the export value and the role of predators in the ecosystem And change in stock can affect dependent populations. The population vulnerability of these species was investigated by climate change and time series data. In this study, the relationship of fishing time series data on fishing effort unit (CPUE) of catfish from 2007 to 2018 monthly with environmental data including: sea surface temperature, chlorophyll a as well as evaporation rate, rainfall, wind speed and air temperature Using regression methods, neural network and decision tree were studied in the waters of the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. The results showed a decrease in catfish stocks in the waters of Khuzestan and Sistan-Baluchestan provinces and a steady trend in the other two provinces. In Khuzestan waters, catfish CPUE showed a significant relationship with wind speed and in Bushehr waters with chlorophyll-a, Hormozgan with evaporation and in Sistan - Baluchestan air temperature had a significant relation. Considering the resilience of the mentioned environmental factors and the continuation of the climate change process, it seems that in order to sustainably exploit the fish, environmental factors should be considered.

The effect of climate change on sharks stocks in the Iranian waters of the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman
Global warming and climate change affect aquatic stocks´s growth, biological activity and physiological behaviors because aquatic CPUE is influenced by physical and chemical factors such as temperature, salinity, wind speed and its direction and sea current. In this research, the relation between the time series shark CPUE data in the Iranian waters of Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman with the env...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Review Papers:Species diversity and distribution pattern of marine mammals of the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman - Iranian Waters
A total of 98 marine mammal records from Iranian coastal waters of the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman were compiled of which 66 are previously unpublished new records. Seventy-nine were from the Persian Gulf and 16 from the Gulf of Oman coast. The largest numbers of records were from Qeshm Island and Bushehr Provinces. Records of finless porpoise (Neophocaena phocaenoides), Indo-pacific humpba...

Diet of kingfish was examined in the Iranian coastal waters in the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea during the year 2005-08. With the examination of 1655 kingfish stomachs caught by drifting gillnets, it was revealed that this species fed three groups of preys including fish, Cephalopods, and Crustaceans, of which the fish group accounted for the highest in the frequency of number (99.3%) and in the f...

Sea water samples were collected from 32 stations in the southern part of the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman during winter of 1987. Surface water of the Persian Gulf exhibited wide range and higher values of salinity (37.15-43.95, mean 40.02%) compared with lower values and narrow range (36.58-36.95, mean 36.74%) in the Gulf of Oman. Surface salinity did not reflect any significant relations...
